We Need Your Help!
Good Morning Surprise Christian Church,
We need your help! It's time to get rolling on our new facility off of Greenway and 303 that we will begin leasing on September 1st. We have a plan in place to begin build out, pending all of our documents get approved with the city. I am so excited for this new opportunity but we can't do it alone.
I know that many of you have been asking how to support Surprise Christian Church as we move forward on this new endeavor. One of the major ways we need your support is financially. Getting into a new facility is expensive, and we are working on getting ourselves established without draining the church's savings, which would put us in a vulnerable position.
This is an opportunity to invest in your church!
There are two ways to give to support Surprise Christian Church. First, you can give through Pushpay, the service we normally use to process tithes and offerings. Just log in to your Pushpay account by clicking the pushpay link at https://www.surprise.church/giving. If you don't have an account, you can sign up very easily on the webpage. You can also use the app to give or to sign up.
When you are giving at Pushpay, be sure to utilize the drop down to select "Building Fund" that way we can distinguish between normal tithes and funds that are set apart for the building! The "Building Fund" will be used to help pay for the construction cost as we turn 4 commercial suites into a church!
Second, we understand that giving to a general fund may not be for you. Some people have seen churches abuse general funds and have grown a distrust, others want to help in a specific way so that they know that there investment matters. We have an option for you! If you go to the website and scroll to the bottom of the homepage, you will see a link titled "Building Equipment Donations". If you click that link, it will take you to this webpage https://my.surprise.church/page/820.
On this page is a list of all the specific items that we are looking to purchase. Most of it is equipment that we are going to need as we open the facility. We are asking that you pray over that list and decide on a few items you would specifically like to donate towards. Donating is simple on this page. Simply click the sponsorship form link at the bottom of the page.
This link will send you to a short form that will ask for your name, email, which item you would like to sponsor, and the amount you would like to give. (NOTE: you do not need to add the Pushpay ID number unless you gave before filling out the form). After you fill out the form, simply follow the link to Pushpay, make sure you select "Building Fund" in the dropdown, and give the amount you listed on the form! This way, we know exactly which item you are giving to and can take it off the list.
Your support as we have worked to figure out the next steps we want to take as a church has been nothing short of amazing. I am so blessed to be the Pastor of such an amazing congregation. We appreciate the continuation of your faithful offerings in support of Surprise Christian Church, you all have been amazing during this pandemic! If your finances simply aren't in a place where you are able to give right now, don't worry! We still need your help. We have a construction team that we are building as we do demo in the first week and build some walls in the second week. You can sign up for that at surprise.church by scrolling to the bottom of the homepage.
In addition, the most important way you can support Surprise Christian Church is through prayer. None of this happens unless God blesses it first. I want to seek His will above my own, this facility is a great opportunity but please pray that God go ahead of us, behind us, and that He surround us with His faithful love. There is nothing more important than the Gospel in this time of change and challenge.
This is a long email! There will be a video posted soon on social media that will go through all of this again. (As you saw today, we had to adjust on the fly with studio Delay having an air conditioning outage! I am working Kenyon to the bone, pray for him!).
I appreciate you all, I pray for you always. May God bless you and your family!
