Elementary November Week 5 - I Am Not Afraid Because God Can Be Trusted

Posted: 11/28/2020

Hello SCC Kids!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This year may have looked a little different than years in the past, but it's important that we remember to be thankful for the blessings we have. I am so thankful for you! You are one of the biggest blessings in my life. I love being a part of Surprise Christian Church and I really love being part of SCC Kids. You guys are seriously the best and make my heart so happy. I thank God for each of you every day. What is something you are thankful for this year? I would love to hear your answers at our upcoming zoom party! Our zoom party will be next Sunday, December 6th at 2pm. I really hope to see you there. We will have some announcements, fun holiday activities, and of course, prizes! Practice those memory verses!

This week we finish out our Sing! series with our final Psalm, Psalm 56. David wrote this Psalm at a time when he was really scared. You can read about his experiences with the town of Gath in 1 Samuel 21: 10-22:2. He was very afraid during this scary time, but he wrote a Psalm about how he knew he could trust God and did not need to feel afraid. We all feel afraid at some time. We know during these times we can say to ourselves, "when I am afraid, I know I can trust God!" Even saying, "I can trust God!" in my head when I feel afraid really helps me! Try it out. I hope it helps you too! If you need some help trusting God, or have any prayer requests, you can reach out to me anytime! I'm always here for you, and God is always with you.

I hope you all have an amazing week and I can't wait to see you soon! I love you and God loves you too!

Love,

Ms. Brandy
